London, April 8 : Ringo Starr's foliage sculpture in the Beatle's home city Liverpool has been beheaded by vandals after he snubbed the city.
The 67-year-old outraged parts of Liverpool when, days after opening the city's European Capital of Culture celebrations, he said he missed nothing about the city.
Starr's head was chopped off, but the rest of the members of the band were left untouched, reports BBC.
The foliage was unveiled last month at Liverpool's South Parkway transport interchange.
Merseytravel paid for the topiary, which was commissioned from artists in Tuscany and cultivated on the Wirral.
The piece, which took 18 months to cultivate, was created by Italian sculptor Franco Covill.
