Revas, Globeground India ramp-up operations at BIA
Bangalore, Apr 8 (UNI) REVA Electric Car Company (RECC) and GlobeGround India today announced that Reva cars would be provided for operations at the new Bengaluru International Airport (BIA).
The electric-driven cars would be used for ferrying the staff, who manage ground handling operations for different airlines at the new airport.
RECC Deputy Chairman and CTRO Chetan Maini said in a statement said, ''Airports need efficient and environmentally friendly mobility solutions and we believe Reva cars meet the requirements of the ground staff. RECC was committed to providing more efficient and intelligent solutions for mobility''.
GlobeGround India General Manager (Operations) Patrick Tschirky said, ''Reva is an efficient and environment friendly solution for mobility of our ground handling staff. We are currently running a pilot at BIA as an ingredient of our commitment to the greenfield airport project and are confident that we can replicate the same in other airports in the country, where we will soon be operational.'' GlobeGround India was the first licenced private GHA to operate from the New Bengaluru International Airport and aims to promote its services beyond Bangalore and become India's leading team of experts in ground handling operations.
