Plane crashes in northwest Bangladesh; Pilot dead
Dhaka, Apr 8 (UNI) The pilot of an F-7 plane of Bangladesh Air Force died today, when the aircraft crashed in a village in northwestern district of Tangail, about 100 kms from here at 1240 hrs (local time).
Squadron Leader Morshed was fatally wounded in the crash. He was rushed to Dhaka combined military hospital where he succumbed to his injuries, Inter-service Public Relations said.
The F-7 crashed on a cropland in Ghatail sub-district on its way to Dhaka. Initial reports said mechanical fault caused the crash.
