Eventful first 100 days, says former Minister
Nahan, Apr 8 (UNI) Lauding the BJP Government's achievements in the first 100 days, former minister and senior BJP leader Shayama Sharma today said it had provided a sum of Rs 300 crore for Sirmaur district's overall development.
Talking to mediapersons here, she said "though the BJP won only one seat out of a total of five in the district during the last assembly elections, the government is paying special attention to the development of the area." Ms Sharma said it had sanctioned a sum of Rs three crore for the boring of tube wells to provide drinking water, besides Rs 165 lakh for the completion of this town's sewerage system.
She hoped that the long pending demand to install Dr Bhim Rao Ambedkar's statute at every assembly constituency of the state would also be fulfilled by the Dhumal Government.
The Chief Minister had held a record number of 3.5 lakh meetings during his first 100 days to understand their problems and initiate steps to ameliorate their woes, she said.
