CPI stages dharna before Passport Office
Hyderabad, Apr 8 (UNI) Leaders and activists of the Communist Party of India (CPI) today staged a dharna in front of the Regional Passport Office (RPO), demanding that government curb the intervention of middlemen relating to issuing passports.
As soon as the office hours began, the activists, led by MP Aziz Pasha, squatted in front of the main gate, restricting the officials from entering the office premises.
They demanding that the government remove the growing 'middlemen' activities at the passport office.
When the Left activists tried to barge into the office premises, security personnel and police forces took them into preventive custody.
