Congress manifesto to be ready in another three days
Mysore, Apr 8 (UNI) Former Karnataka Chief Minister and the state Congress Coordination Committee Chairman S M Krishna today said the party's manifesto for the forthcoming Assembly elections will be ready in the next three days.
Talking to newspersons at the helipad here, he said the first meeting of the party Election Committee to select the candidates for the May 10 elections would be held in Bangalore.
He said the number of aspirants has gone upto 2800.
Stating that the Congress would contest all the 224 seats, he said preference would be given to women and youth.
Replying to a question, the former Chief Minister ruled out any scope for bifurcation of the original and migrated leaders in the party.
Mr Krishna said he had not sought any ticket for the assembly polls from any constituency. However, he did not rule out contesting.
Mr Krishna was here to offer puja at the Sri Chamundeswari temple atop the Chamundi hills.
