Congress Manifesto to be ready in another three days
Mysore, Apr 8 (UNI) Former Maharashtra Governor and Karnataka Congress Coordination Committee Chairman S M Krishna today said that the party manifesto for the next month Legislative Assembly elections will be ready in another three days.
Talking to newsmen at the helipad here, he said that the first meeting of the party Election Committee would meet tomorrow in Bangalore to select the candidates for the May 10 elections and the number of aspirants has gone upto 2800.
Stating that the Congress party would contest to all the 224 seats, he said that preference would be given to both women and youth.
Replying to a question, the former Chief Minister ruled out scope for bifurcation of the original and migrated leaders in the party.
Mr Krishna said that he has not applied for the assembly seat from any constituency. However, he did not rule out contesting.
Mr Krishna was here to offer puja to the Sri Chamundeswari atop of the Chamundi hills.
