New Delhi, Apr 8 (UNI) Areva T&D India, the power transmission and distribution division of French nuclear engineer Areva, today said it has secured orders worth Rs 418 crore from Essar Constructions (India) for Electrical Balance of Plant (e-BOP).

The equipment will be used in the Essar Power's power plant projects in Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh.

''e-BOP reduces complexity in coordination and improves project delivery time. This is a one-window solution for our key customer Essar Group...'' said AREVA T&D India President (India) Rathin Basu.

The project is to be completed by Jan-Feb 2010, Mr Basu said in a statement.

It added that the scope of work includes design, engineering, supply, erection, testing and commissioning of 250 MVA, 400 KV class GTs, 250 MVA, 400 KV class ICT, UATs, SATs, 400 KV&220 KV Switchyards, generator circuit breakers, distribution transformers.
