TTD launches Channel coinciding Ugadi
Tirumala, Apr 7 (UNI) Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams(TTD) Trust Board Chairman B Karunakara Reddy today said the TTD had launched 'Sri Venkateswara Bhakti Channel', the devotional medium, to promote Hindu dharma and Samskruthi across the globe.
Speaking on the occasion, he said the programmes would be aired, targeting the youth to bridge the cultural gap and to infuse a sense of devotion and responsibility among the younger generation.
It would not be a business option, Mr Reddy said, adding the aim was to propagate the Vedas by encouraging the people, who were attracted to western culture and neglecting the Hindu traditions.
The Channel's Chief Executive Officer and former Director-General of Doordarhsan K S Sarma said authentic informations on Lord Venkateswara would be provided.
TTD Executive officer K V Ramanchary said the channel would provide dharma in a traditional way and propagate Venkateswara cult.
