Rs 30 lakh robbed from collection van
New Delhi, Apr 7 (UNI) Three unidentified men today robbed Rs 30 lakh from a collection van of a security company in South Delhi's GK III area this evening, police said.
The collection van of the security company, CMS, which transports cash, was at DDA market, Masjid Modh, on routine collection when the three men, in a Tata Sumo, threw red chilli powder in the eyes of the guard and the driver.
However, the gunman, Suresh Kumar, managed to shield his eyes and tried to stop them.
The assailants, then, opened fire on the gunman and the driver with a countrymade pistol, injuring Suresh Kumar.
Suresh Kumar was rushed to hospital in critical condition, where he was declared stable later.
