Srinagar, Apr 7: The process to engage 13422 anganwari workers and helpers in the Kashmir valley was launched here today by Social Welfare Minister Abdul Gani Vakil.
Mr Vakil reiterated time bound engagement of 13,422 anganwari workers and helpers within a month.
''Application forms for these posts would be issued and received from today up to ten days,'' he said.
He also distributed Rs 20 lakh among 200 beneficiaries of Rafiabad and Sopore tehsils under National Family Welfare Scheme.
The Minister laid the foundation stones for twin parks at Mazbug and Nowpora villages to be developed at a cumulative cost of Rs 9 lakh.
He also announced setting up of an orphanage 'Yatim Khana' for rehabilitation of orphans in Reban village of Rafiabad at a cost of Rs 4.50 crore and asked people to donate land for the purpose.
