PM Koirala assures China to stop anti Chinese activities in Nepal
Kathmandu, Apr 7 (UNI) Prime Minister Girija Prasad Koirala has expressed his commitment to prevent anti-China activities from taking place on Nepali soil.
At a meeting with Chinese Ambassador to Nepal Zheng Xianglin this morning, Mr Koirala confirmed his stance to prevent anti-China activities from Nepal as China shares close relationship with the Himalayan nation, Kantipur quoted official as saying.
On Ambassador Xianglin's query on the demonstrations carried out by Tibetan refugees in the capital few days ago, the octogenarian leader said that he himself and the Nepali government supports the One-China policy, Kantipur quoted PM's Foreign Affairs Advisor Aditya Baral as saying.
Ambassador Xianglin said China is willing to provide all kinds of assistance needed for the Constituent Assembly (CA) polls, at the meeting.
There are demonstrations by Tibetans almost everyday in Kathmandu since the Tibetan peaceful demonstration was crushed in Lahsa last month.
China has urged the Nepal government to stop such activities.
Tibetan community has said that they have suspended the demonstration until the CA polls of April 10.
