Lalu, Rabri visit Tulip garden in Kashmir

Srinagar, Apr 7 (UNI) Assuring to hold his ministry's meetings in Kashmir, Railway Minister Lalu Prasad said there is no reason for anybody to feel scared of visiting the valley.

Spellbound by the bewitching beauty of the Tulip garden at the foothill of Zabarwan hills overlooking the famed Dal Lake, Mr Yadav said he will ask his ministry officials to organize meetings here.

Mr Yadav accompanied by his wife and former Chief Minister of Bihar, Rabri Devi visited the garden and described it as awe-inspiring.

Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad also visited the Indira Gandhi Memorial Tulip Garden where the tulips are in full bloom these days.

The garden, inaugurated by the UPA Chairperson, Sonia Gandhi on March 29, was conceptualized and designed by the Chief Minister himself who monitored its development almost on daily basis.

The garden has emerged as a great attraction for tourists and locals.

Since it was thrown open for public on March 30, as many as 16,000 visitors including local people and domestic and foreign tourists, have visited this flora-marvel till Sunday.
