Kazakhstan supports India's bid for UN Security Council berth
Astana, Kazakhstan, Apr 7 (UNI) Kazakhstan today reiterated its support to India's candidature for the permanent membership of the United Nations Security Council.
India is a great democracy and secular country and it deserves a place in the Security Council, Chairman of the Kazakhstan Senate Kassym Jomart Tokayev told newsmen after his meeting with Vice-President Hamid Ansari.
He said his country was keen to develop ties with India in all sectors, including hydrocarbons. He also suggested a working group on expanding and intensifying economic, trade and commercial ties.
