Announcing this here today, owner of the Ma-Con Motorsport team Marian Hamprecht said, ''We are happy to have Ashwin Sundar in our team for the next three years. He has shown immense talent by winning the testing sessions held in Germany in February 2008 at Ma-Con motorsports' own test circuit.'' Ashwin who is just 17 years of age is the reigning Indian national champion of formula LGB Swift and Hyundai class.

The Chennai lad has not only proven his success in motor racing but the young prodigy has made his mark in motor biking too.

He has also raced for international races like Asia Road Racing Championship where he finished runner-up and became the Indian National Racing Champion in two wheelers category where he was declared as 'Champion of Champions' in year 2006.

Meanwhile, Ashwin was too glad with his new assignment said, ''I hope to do really well in the formula ADAC championship which would pave way for me to get to the formula-3 European series.

''I got just one day for prtactice and next day I had to go for the testing sessions but now I can say that I adjusted well to the conditions and did fairly well there,'' he added.

Ashwin was picked up Ma-Con after testing sessions in Germany in February this year where drivers were provided Formula Konig (165 bhp) testing cars with a Volkswagen engine.

Amongst the eight drivers who were shortlisted for the testing sessions in Germany, Ashwin emerged the best and Ma-Con is still looking for another prodigy.

Marian leter said he was too impressed with Ashwin talent and commitment who he says has become a part of his family.

''I searched releases and on internet for a young talent and everywhere Ashwin Sundar's name was prominent.

''In Germany he had to race in conditions which were alien to him. He was asked to race in snowfalls and rainy conditions but the way he handled the whole situation was really commendable.

''His attitude to always give 100 per cent and confidence is what impressed me a lot,'' Marian said.
