Development at a standstill under SAD-BJP rule: Cong
Ludhiana, Apr 6 (UNI) The All India Congress Committee spokesman and party national secretary Manish Tewari today came down heavily on SAD-BJP government for ''failing to watch the interests of people of Punjab.'' While addressing series of meetings in the city, Mr Tewari strongly flayed SAD-BJP regime over incidents like police lathicharge on mediapersons and Anganwari workers.
The AICC spokesman also claimed that setting a new example, without any sort of bias, UPA government was providing all kind of relief and packages for Punjab and accused the SAD-BJP government in Punjab of ''misguiding the masses by taking credit of efforts of the union government''.
He, however, expressed confidence that people of the state were ''intelligent enough not to be fooled by the SAD-BJP propaganda about development activities which in reality are nowhere to be seen''.
