HP Governor unveils Matrivandna Patrika
Shimla, Apr 6: Himachal Pradesh Governor V S Kokje has released a special issue of Matrivandna, entitled 'Krantivir Naman' in the Saraswati Vidya Mandir Campus at Shimla. Addressing the audience yesterday , Mr Kokje said the nation needed to preserve its accurate historical facts. He exhorted the parents to keep their children away from the onslaught of Western Culture on our social and cultural legacy.
Alluding to our freedom struggl, the Governor said it had become essential to teach our generation the value of freedom and about the martyrs who had laid down their lives for the nation. He said those National heroes should be held in high esteem. Mr Kokje, expressed hope that The 'Krantivir Naman' would go a long way in instilling moral values in young generation besides, acquainting them with the history of freedom struggle.
Mr Madan Dass 'Sah Sar Karyawah' of Rastriya Swayam Sewak Sangh also spoke on the occasion. Earlier, Dr Dayanand Sharma, Secretary Matrivandna Sansthan, Shimla, welcoming the Governor gave details of the magazine and the entire organisation. Mr Rajesh Bansal, Treasurer of the 'Matrivandna' Sanstha, Shimla, proposed vote of thanks. A colourful cultural programme was also presented by children on the occasion.
