Margoa, Apr 6 (UNI) Advertising agencies including JWT, Leo Burnett and Mudra as well as production house Nirvana Films celebrated their achievements of Grand Prix Abbys 2008 awards organised by Advertising Agencies Association of India (AAAI), in the third edition of Goafest '08 here.
Leo Burnett bagged Luxor highlighters - the award in the categories of print and outdoor, while JWT won for Nike Cricket TVC.
Mudra was commended for its work of Cycle Agarbathis on radio. In the film craft category, Nirvana Films took home the award for Gas, the television spot for Neo Sports.
While addressing the award presentation ceremony, one of the jury members K V Sridhar said, ''The Grand Prix is considered the best awards as it is chosen only from the Gold winners.'' Print, Outdoor, Television, Radio and Integrated were the five categories in which creative work was judged and Grand Prix awarded.
Out of 3,800 entries from different categories, 239 awards were declared inclusive of Grand Prix winners.
Ogilivy&Mather was the highest, which bagged as many as 66 awards including five gold and 14 silver metals, followed by Leo Burnett India that won 66, Contract Advertising received 28 awards and JWT India was commended 15 awards for different categories.
Gold and silver awards were restricted only for few categories due to lack of performance.
