MP: Gandharva Samaroh to begin from Apr 8

Bhopal, Apr 6: A two-day 'Kumar Gandharva Samaroh' -- organised under the joint auspices of Ustad Alauddin Khan Sangeet Evam Kala Academy and the Madhya Pradesh Culture department -- would get underway in Dewas tomorrow.

Culture Minister Lakshmikant Sharma would inaugurate the programme at Malhar Smriti Mandir in Dewas. Sports and Youth Welfare Minister Tukojirao Puar would preside over the function. Mumbai-based violinist Kala Ramnath would be honoured with the Rashtriya Kumar Gandharva Samman on the event. She would present a violin performance.

Bangalore-based Bhuvanesh Komkali and Vinayak Torvi would make a vocal recital to grace the occasion On the second day, Pune-based Meena Farperkar and Subhash Vyas would render vocal performance.
