New Delhi, Apr 6 (UNI) World champion Viswanathan Anand continued to lead the world rankings with 2803 Elo ratings points, a massive 15-point lead over his nearest rival.
Anand, who first grabbed the top spot after winning the Morelia-Linares title in April last year, is only the sixth player after Bobby Fischer, Anatoly Karpov, Garry Kasparov, Vladimir Kramnik and Vesselin Topalov to claim the Worlds No 1 ELO rating since the rating system was introduced in 1970.
Kramnik held on to his second position with 2788 points, while the third place was occupird by Morozevich (2774 pts).
Veselin Topalov (2767 pts) slipped to the fourth spot.
Magnus Carlsen (2765 pts) and Levon Aronian (2763 pts) are fifth and sixth respectively.
In the women's section, Koneru Humpy (2603 pts) was at the second place behind Judit Polgar (2709 pts) while Hou Yifan (2549 pts) of China was third.
