Kolhapur, Apr 5 (UNI) A six-month-old boy was charred to death today near a jaggery godown at Kerle village, about ten km from here.
Yuvraj Jadhav, who works as a labourer at the godown and resides in a nearby hut with his wife and six-month-old son Rohit, had left for work today.
His wife, who was cooking food, also left the hut for a few moments leaving the child alone.
The hut caught fire from a burning wood in the ''chulha''. The child was severely burnt and died before receiving treatment, police said.
