Pak family stranded in Jodhpur due to passport theft
Jodhpur, Apr 5 (UNI) Six members of a Pakistani family are stranded here as their passports and some other belongings were stolen at the railway station last evening.
Abid Ali, based in Liyaqatabad in Pakistan, had come to Jodhpur by the Thar Express on January 11 to meet his Jabalpur based brother.
Ali and his family--wife Zahira, sons Jahajeb Ali, Saif Ali and daughters Atiqa and Akshya-- were due to return Karachi by Thar Express last night and accordingly they arrived at the railway station from Jabalpur last evening.
They were waiting for the train in the waiting room of the station when someone stole the bag from their luggage containing their passports and some other belongings.
They failed to board the train in want of passports.
A case of theft had been lodged at the GRP police station in Jodhpur and the family was now waiting for issuance of duplicate passports.
