Panchkula (Haryana), Apr 5 (UNI) In a stinging salvo at the IPL, ICL Executive Board Chairman Kapil Dev asked the media not to cover the BCCI backed Twenty20 event unless the board changes the accredition norms.
''If they (IPL) don't want, don't cover it,'' Kapil told mediapersons here last night.
The former India captain was speaking on the sidelines of the first of the best-of-three finals of the Indian Cricket League's Twenty20 tournament between Lahore Badshahs and Hyderabad Heroes.
Kapil, however, declined to commenton the accreditation norms laid down by the IPL authorities.
''As a cricketer, I wish them luck,'' he said.
The legendary all-rounder accused the BCCI for allegedly bending rules when it ''suits them'' saying that many players in the Indian Test side, were busy attending various launches in connection with the IPL, flouting the Board's own rules.
