New Delhi, Apr 5 (UNI) It was a double delight for Harsh Mankad as he was included in India's Davis Cup team for the upcoming tie against Japan to be played here from April 11 after winning the 10,000 dollar ITF tournament in Chandigarh today.
Mankad today won the Chandigarh tournament after his opponent Rohan Bopanna pulled out of the final due to a knee inujry.
''The selection committee of the All India Tennis Association (AITA) has decided to include Harsh Mankad as the fifth member of the Davis Cup team. He has made a good comeback to professional tennis after having been down with an injury,'' an AITA press release said.
Mankad, who last played Davis Cup in 2005 against Uzbekistan in Jaipur, was out for a year due to a knee injury.
