Puducherry, Apr 5: Assom Swaraksha United Forum (ASUF) President V R K Baruah and RSS Puducherry unit President Selvaraj today urged the Centre to seal the Indo-Bangladesh border to check infiltration. Addressing a press conference here, they said the people of Assam were facing an ''identity crisis'' because of the unchecked infiltration of Bangladeshi Muslims.

The Indo-Bangladesh border remains open, even after six decades of Indian independence and three decades of Bangladesh Independence, allowing Bangaldeshi Muslims to intrude and grab lands in Assam. They urged the Centre to update the National Registration of Citizens Act and the voters list by deleting the names of millions of Bangladeshi infiltrators as demanded by the Assom Students Unions.
