New Delhi, Apr 5 (UNI) Describing as false the statement by Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit that the price of vegetables has not increased in Delhi and that there was unnecessary hue and cry about the price spiral, BJP Delhi Pradesh president HarshVardhan today said that by making a false statement before mediapersons ''she has added insult to injury of the people of Delhi.'' ''The Chief Minister who lives in air-conditioned rooms does not know that at present 50 per cent of the people in Delhi do not get full nutrition,''Dr Harshvardhan said.

The BJP Chief said the Chief Minister has stated in the Legislative Assembly that ladyfingers (Bhindi) are being sold at the rate of Rs 12 per kg whereas in reality it is being sold at the rate of Rs 40 per kg. Bittergourd which is usually sold at the rate of Rs 10 per kg is being sold at the rate of Rs 60 per kg, tomatoes at Rs 30 per kg, potatoes at Rs 8 per kg, onion at Rs 12 per kg and mushroom at Rs 75 per kg.

''Still, the Chief Minister says vegetables are not costly in Delhi. She has also said when the economy is booming then the price spiral is natural thing. What does she want to tell actually?,''the Delhi BJP chief added.

Dr Harshvardhan said tomorrow in protest against the price spiral workers of all the 16 districts and 280 Mandals of the BJP Delhi Pradesh would resolve to dislodge the anti people pro-inflation Congress Government by staging a Dharna and Prabhat Pheries in entire Delhi.

It may be recalled that tomorrow is the foundation day of BJP.

This year it will be observed as 'Sankalpa Diwas'.
