Hyderabad, Apr 4 (UNI) Union Bank of India has registered a 32.44 per cent growth in its business in Andhra Pradesh at Rs 8442 crore by March end this year.
According to the Bank's Hyderabad Region General Manager C Abraham, the Bank's deposits in Andhra Pradesh grew by 37.46 per cent at Rs 3803 crore in 2007-2008 from Rs 2823 crore last fiscal and the advances were up 28.43 per cent to Rs 4549 crore from Rs 3542 crore.
The advances to agriculture was up 23 per cent to Rs 1282 crore from Rs 1043 crore. Retail business during 2007-2008 was up 18 per cent to Rs 1361 crore from Rs 1155 crore and SMES up by 55 per cent to Rs 892 crore from Rs 575 crore over the same period last year.
Bank's service outlets till March end this year were 156 against 145 on March 31 last year,.
