New Delhi, Apr 4 (UNI) The web portal StudyPlaces.com, providing free career counselling, will now offer students information to over 2,00,000 courses from 10,000 colleges across the globe.
''The website offers a platform for career counselling and college planning. It helps students to find, compare, evaluate and select the right course and institute. The website will also offer free online counselling and online practise tests to students,'' founder&CEO Amitabh Nagpal told reporters.
We have a team of 20 counsellors, specialising in one or more education domains such as engineering, medicine and management studies who help students to make the right choice. Their are two Psychologists also, who will help students in their related problems, Mr Nagpal added.
StudyPlaces.com has information on university courses and colleges in India, US, UK, Europe, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Canada and the Middle East.
It offers practise tests for various entrance exmas like SAT, PMT, GRE, AIEEE, GMAT, IIT-JEE, TOEFL and AIEEE.
The website, with an initial investment of three million dollars, is funded by Kleiner Perkins, Caufield&Byers (KPCB), Ram Shriram's Sherpalo Ventures and the internet company Info Edge (Naukri.com fame). The other investors include President, ENEA operations and Vice President Google Inc Nikesh Arora alongwith former CEO (Orange) Sanjiv Ahuja.
