Shimla, Apr 4 (UNI) Former Himachal Pradesh minister Singhi Ram, accused in the infamous fake mark sheet case, was today discharged from the Indira Gandhi Medical College and Hospital (IGMC), after the medical board declared him fit.
The State Vigilance and Anti Corruption Bureau had requested the medical board, comprising of four expert members, to medically examine the former minister and inform them about his medical condition.
The medical board after examining Mr Ram declared him fit and consequently discharged him from the hospital where he was hospitalised on April 2 after he complained of chest pain and high blood pressure.
State Vigilance and Anti Corruption Bureau SP A P Singh confirming that the former minister had been discharged from the hospital said that they were in the process of examining the documents and all other materials that was recovered during the raids.
''The chain of evidence is being linked and shortly the case will be cracked,'' he added.
The former minister, accused of forgery and cheating, along with former HP School Board Chairman B R Rahi was sent on police remand by a local court till April five.
Both the accused would be produced before the court tomorrow.
