Mehbooba should be ''booked'': BJP
Jammu, Apr 4 (UNI) Jammu and Kashmir BJP today demanded that Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) president Mehbooba Mufti be booked on a charge of sedition so that none dares to indulge in anti-India activities in and outside the country.
''The PDP president has committed a serious crime by demanding in Pakistan 'dual power sharing arrangement', which should be subsequently 'combined with India and Pakistan policy,' the BJP alleged asserting that no nation with any self-respect and no state which considers its sovereignty as paramount can ever let the likes of Mehbooba Mufti go scot-free.
However, the party members said the failure of the Congress-led UPA government and the Congress-led government here in Jammu and Kashmir to act against Mehbooba Mufti.
''It would further establish that the Congress-led governments at the centre and in the state approve of what the PDP president preached in Pakistan and that they share the PDP's view that both India and Pakistan should share sovereignty in Jammu and Kashmir,'' they said.
''We urge the President of India and the Lok Sabha speaker to immediately initiate criminal proceedings against the PDP president,'' the BJP demanded.
