Vellore, Tamil Nadu, Apr 4 (UNI) Condemning attacks on Tamils in Karnataka over the Hogenakkal drinking water project, BJP Tamil Nadu President L Ganesan today said Karnataka had no right to question the execution of the project as it fell well within the State's borders.

Talking to newspersons here, he found fault with the Karnataka politicians for raking up the issue and said Prime Minister Manmohan Singh should intervene and resolve the issue as that State was under President's rule. The Centre should put an end to such violence by ''Kannada fanatics'' with an iron hand.

The BJP leader said he had spoken about the issue to the party high command and party President in Karnataka B S Yediyurappa, who had kicked up the row by visiting Hogenakkal recently.

Lamenting that national integration had become a big question mark following the Hogenakkal row, Mr Ganesan gave a call for maintaining the integrity of the nation on water disputes.

He observed that there was no need to undertake a fresh survey of the area as the Global Positioning System (GPS) could be used.
