Kahalgaon power project workers on indefinite strike
Patna, Apr 4 (UNI) The workers of various construction agencies, engaged in carrying out the phase-II project of the super thermal power station of NTPC at Kahalgaon, went on indefinite strike from today in protest against the anti-labourer policies of its management.
Official sources here said that all the construction works of the project came to a stand-still following the strike.
''The agitating workers raised barriers on all routes leading to the site, stopping the movement of all those engaged in construction works of the project,'' sources added.
Meanwhile, Kahalgaon Thermal Power Project Workers union secretary general Srinivas Mandal said they were forced to go on strike following differences with the management of NTPC and construction agencies over their policies.
