EC issues show notices to leaders who fail to file expenditure

Shimla, Apr 1 (UNI) Himachal Pradesh Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) Manisha Nanda today issued show cause notices to as many as 26 leaders for not submitting the details of their election expenditures incurred during the last assembly elections.

The candidates have been asked to submit statements of their expenditure incurred during the assembly elections within the next 20 days through a notice issued to them March 24, she said in a release here.

Ms Nanda said Randhir Ranta and Goverdhan Singh Chauhan from assembly Rohru constituency, Hari Chand from Chopal, Rajinder Singh from Theog, Harbhajan Singh Bhajji, Rajesh Sharma, Madan Singh Rana, Liaqat Ali and Surender Rajput from Shimla, Sohan Lal, Surender Kumar, Manoj Kumar, Ranjit Kumar and Roop Ram Chauhan from Kasumpti (SC) constituencies Deep Chand Sharma from Arki, Chaudhary Gurbaksha Singh from Nalagarh, Kamlesh Kumari from Kasauli (SC), Dev Raj from Solan, Kedar Singh Jindan and Nathu Ram Chauhan from Shilai, Manjinder Singh and Vandana Rani from Paonta (Doon), Jeet Ram Chaudhary from Kotkehloor, Ram and Bhudhi Ram Chauhan from Ghumarwin and Mukesh Chaudhary from Santokhgarh were yet to fill their statements.
