Congress camp flooded with applications for party ticket
Gulbarga, Apr 4 (UNI) The Congress camp in Karnataka is witnessing a heavy surge of applications from aspirants seeking tickets to contest in the coming Assembly elections.
AICC Observer K Kesava Rao, who was here in the city today, was virtually flooded with applications even as chaotic situation prevailed as large supporters of local leaders thronged the venue, where Mr Rao arrived for holding consultations with the leaders.
Later, addressing the party workers, he said the workers should bear in mind that it was important for the party to win the Karnataka Assembly polls.
The party would not discriminate between old and new leaders, he said and appealed to all to strive for the victory of the party.
He said the party would give priority to youth and women while allocating tickets.
