BJP Minority Morcha to chalk out strategy to woo Muslims
Hyderabad, Apr 4 (UNI) The two-day national executive of the BJP Minority Morcha, beginning here tomorrow, will chalk out a strategy to get the party closer to Muslims and pave way for the party's return to power at the Centre under the leadership of BJP Prime Ministerial nominee L K Advani.
BJP Minority Morcha President Shahnawaz Hussain told reporters that the executive would adopt a resolution, urging the Muslims to work under the leadership of Mr Advani to dethrone the 'anti-people'' Congress-led UPA government.
He said the executive would adopt a resolution seeking protection of wakf lands and register their protest against the ''poor arrangements'' made by the Congress-led UPA government for Haj pilgrims.
The observations of the Sachar Committee were only a reflection of the pitiable condition of Muslims in the country during the long rule of the Congress, he said and alleged that the Congress lacked sincerity in ameliorating the condition of Muslims in the country.
Party Vice-President Venkaiah Naidu would inaugurate the meet, being held for the first time in the city.
Former Rajya Sabha Deputy Chairperson Najma Heptullah and BJP national vice-president Mukthar Abbas Naqvi would address the meet.
The executive would also work out strategies for the Karnataka Assembly elections, he added.
