Bangalore, Apr 4 (UNI) The BJP in Karnataka has formed an election campaign committee with its state President D V Sadananda Gowda as its Chairman, party spokesperson Suresh Kumar said today.
Talking to newspersons here, he said the Committee would chalk out a detailed programme for carrying out election campaign in the state, scheduled for next month.
He said BJP senior leader Yashwant Sinha, who is in charge of Karnataka and Arun Jaitely, who is in charge of election campaign, would be special invitees of the committees.
Mr Bache Gowda and Mr Basavaraj Bommai, who recently quit the JD(S) and JD(U) were included in the Campaign Committee.
Mr Kumar said former JD(S) Minister Muniyappa Muddappa, former Hutti Gold Mines Chairman J C Patil, former Raichur Development Board Chairman K Anjeneya had joined the BJP.
