Jalandhar, Apr 4 (UNI) Chandigarh-based Aryans Business School (ABS) has singed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with London Institute of Management Education (LIME) to offer Chartered Management courses in India.
Talking to media persons here today, Aryans Group chairman Anshu Kataria said that ABS is the second sub-centre in the country to offer Chartered Management courses through LIME, which has been authorised by Chartered Management Institute (CMI), UK to offer its courses in India.
Opening of centre in Chandigarh would enable students from North to get CMI qualifications in India he said adding that the courses would be available to the students of the region from June onwards.
Mr Kataria said Chartered Management is regulated by the Royal Charter Professional body in UK and before Aryans Group, YC Maharashtra Open University (YCMOU), Nashik was only overseas accredited CMI sub-centre that delivered UK Chartered Management qualifications in association with LIME.
Regarding the valadity of the courses in the country, he said, ''We will seek AICTE approval to offer CMI courses in India but till than we will offer the courses through YCMOU and LIME.'' As per the MoU, four courses would be available to students including Continuous Professional Development (CPD), Executive Diploma in Management (EDM), Diploma in Management (DM) and Certificate in Management (CM), he informed.
These courses would benefit number of engineering and management graduate those who wish to immigrate to Europe, he said adding,''Now they will not have to do low profile jobs but after doing this course they can start their career as a manager.'' UNI DP JN BP1816
