25th Kannada meet to be held in Delhi
New Delhi, Apr 4 (UNI) A two-day silver jubilee national conference of Kannadigas will commence here from tomorrow.
The conference organised by Dehali Kannadiga, a Kannada monthly, is to be inagurated by veteran Gandhian Haranahalli Ramaswamy and will be chaired by former Syndicate Bank Chairman K K Pai.
Union Minister of State for Planning M V Rajasekharan is being honoured with Silver Jubilee Award for life time contribution to politics. Vijaya Bank Chairman Prakash P Mallya and former Chairperson of National Commission for Women Mohini V Giri are among the noted Kannadigas who will be felicitated with Best Banker and Best Outside Kannadiga Award.
Vijaya Karnataka Editor Vishveshwara Bhat is scheduled to inaugurate the two-day festival expected to have an attendance from various parts of the country.
Dehali Kannadiga editor M B Samaga said that the purpose of the conference is to open the windows of Karnataka's culture and heritage to the fellow compatriots in the national capital.
