UPCA to take over Green Park charge for India-SA face-off

Kanpur, Apr 3 (UNI) Uttar Pradesh Cricket Association (UPCA) will take over the charge of Green Park stadium tomorrow, the venue of third and last cricket Test match between India and visiting South Africa from April 11 to 15 here.

UPCA manager administration Prem Dhar Pathak told UNI that stage has been set for the five day Test match to be played at the Green Park stadium.

Both the teams will arrive this city on April 8 and will do the net practice on April 9 and 10, Mr Pathak informed.

He said that after the final day, the teams will go to Lucknow as guests of the Sahara Group and leave for Mumbai next day.

The sports secretary along with few top police officials would review the preparations at the stadium tomorrow.

Meanwhile, the curator Shiv Kumar said that the pitch and the ground work would be completed by April 8.
