Tibetan monks in Karnataka observe hunger-strike
Bangalore, Apr 3 (UNI) Hundreds of Tibetan Budhist Monks from various monasteries in the state today staged a day-long hunger strike demanding UN intervention and medical assistance to Tibet where allegedly hundreds of Tibetans were brutally killed and injured by the repressive Chinese army.
The monks alleged that hundreds of Tibetans residents were 'done to death' when they were holding peaceful procession.
The monks while demanding UN to intervene immediately and send an independent agency to probe the brutal crackdown in Tibet recently.
The Monks also urged UN to send immediate medical assistance to the Tibetan people injured in the unrest who were being deprived of any medical aid by the Chinese.
