Pudukkottai, Tamil Nadu, Apr 3: Demanding restoration of the Pudukottai Parliamentary constituency, the Pudukottai Parliamentary Constituency Retrieval Committee has called for a bandh in the district on April 26 to express people's anguish against the recommendation of the Delimitation Commission.
A decision to this effect was adopted at a meeting of the Committee held here yesterday, which also decided to stage a three-phased agitation culiminating in the bandh, Committee President Xavier said in a release here today.
He said the Committee members would observe a fast in all the six Assembly segments of the constituency on April 8, wearing black badges. Black flags would be hoisted on all commercial establishments on that day. The second phase of the agitation would be organised on April 15, when the Committee members would take out processions in all major centres of the district.
