Silver, Gold up: Bombay Bullion Assn

Mumbai, Apr 3: The value of silver and gold moved up today as silver rose by Rs 260 per kg and gold by Rs 125 per ten gm on fresh buying suport, along with bullish trend in the global cue, in the opening trading session, Bombay Bullion Association sources said.

In the international market, Gold rose to USD 902.80/903.60 an ounce from USD 898.00/898.80 an ounce late in New York yesterday, silver also edged up to USD 17.38/17.43 an ounce from USD 17.17/17.22 an ounce on firm oil, Singapore market report said.

Following were the opening rates of spot silver and gold in the Bombay bullion market today: Silver (per kg) 999 fineness grade : Rs 23,050 Gold (per 10 gm) Gold 99.5 purity standard mint : Rs 11,685 Gold 99.9 purity pure gold : Rs 11,745.
