Punjab to organise training camps for farmers
Chandigarh, Apr 3 (UNI) To impart technical know-how to farmers of the state, Punjab Agriculture Department has launched a special campaign under which training camps are being organised for farmers.
Stating this here today Punjab Agriculture Minister Sucha Singh Langah said that in the camp farmers would be educated regarding diversification and how to redress the problem of marketing.
Besides, the farmers would be trained for timely plantation of Paddy, use of fertilisers and pesticides judiciously.
Mr Langah further said that farmers would also be motivated to adopt agro forestry and vermin compost.
In the first phase, one camp in each district would be organised and in the second phase the camps would be organised at block and village levels.
