Over 700 MTs of wheat arrived in Haryana mandis
Chandigarh, Apr 3 (UNI) As much as 706 MTs of wheat has arrived in the 362 mandis of Haryana so far, out of which 679 MTs has been purchased by the various procuring agencies.
Stating this here today, Haryana Deputy Chief Minister Chander Mohan said that Food and Supplies Department had purchased 375 MTs followed by HAFED 195 MTs and Haryana Warehousing Corporation 109 MTs.
He said that the government was giving Rs 1000 per quintal minimum support price to the farmers, while last year the minimum support price was Rs 750 per qunital.
He urged the farmers that they should brought their produce parched and clean so that they could get better prices. He said that the payment to the farmers would be made within 48 to 72 hours.
