'Post-mortem facilities to be available soon'

Puducherry, Apr 3: Post-Mortem facilities would be made available at Mannadipet and Karikkalampakkam Areas here shortly, Health Minister E Valsaraj told the Legislative Assembly today.

Answering a question,he said preliminary works for the project at Karikkalampakkam had already started.

With several members, including Mr Anand(PMC), Mr Anbazhagan (AIADMK) and Mr Anantharaman (PMK) raking up the issue of lack of mortuary and a hearse at the Government General Hospital here, the House witnessed noisy scenes.

Speaker R Radhakrishnan brought order in the House and passed on to other questions.
