Ahmedabad, Apr 3 (UNI) Indian skipper Anil Kumble won the toss and elected to bat in the second test of the three-match series against South Africa today.
The Indian camp heaved a sigh of relief when their captain Anil Kumble was declared fit to play the second Test against South Africa at the Sardar Patel (Gujarat) stadium, Motera.
Anil Kumble after cheering up his teammates recovered in time from his groin injury to play the second Test. He brought further cheer when he won the toss and elected to bat.
India made one change from the team that played in Chennai bringing in all rounder Irfan Pathan in place of the injured Sachin Tendulkar, thus leaving both Yuvraj Singh and Mohammad Kaif to warm the benches. India are going in with five bowlers in this match.
South Africa on the other hand retained the same 11 that played in Chennai.
