Governor's directives to Mah Govt now accessible to people
Mumbai, Apr 3 (UNI) In a bid to bring transparency to his office, the Governor of Maharashtra S C Jamir has taken an initiative, whereby his directives to the state government would be accessible to the people.
The directives, issued by the Governor while discharging his responsibility under article 371(2) of the Constitution, have now been displayed on the Raj Bhavan's website for the benefit of the people, an official release said here today.
The Statutory Development Boards for Vidarbha, Marathwada and rest of Maharashtra were set up in the State in 1994 following the invocation of article 371(2).
The Governor issued the first set of directives to the government in the year 2002-2003. Since then, he had issued directives to the government every year. The directives for the year 2008-2009 were issued last month.
Background of the directives, presentation on the schemes of Development Boards in the State and all the directives from 2002-03 onwards are now available on the website, the release added.
