Floodlit Kotla all set to host inaugural IPL
New Delhi, Apr 3 (UNI) The Ferozshah Kotla cricket ground is all set to host the inaugural Indian Premier League (IPL) which starts from April 18.
All the matches at Ferozshah Kotla will be played under floodlights. As per the International Cricket Council (ICC) guidelines, this is the first stadium to be lit up-3000 Lux at the pitch.
Floodlights will be inaugurated by the BCCI president Sharad Pawar and Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dixit will be the chief guest on the occasion.
Kotla is scheduled to host seven matches in the IPL tournament.
