Fake currency over Rs 5 lakh seized, 4 held
Lucknow, Apr 3: The Special Task Force (STF) of Uttar Pradesh police has arrested four people, including a Nepali citizen, and seized fake Indian currency worth around Rs 5.7 lakh in Ghaziabad district today.
According to police, STF nabbed Tej Bahadur, Manu, Mantu and Vijay Pal, possessing the counterfeit currency under Sahibabad police station area.
Tej Bahadur is said to be the citizen of Nepal.
Police said from the preliminary investigation reveals that the criminals had brought the fake currency from Bangkok.
