Bihar government constitutes Ministerial committee on court fees

Patna, Apr 3 (UNI) Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar today said in the State Legislative Council that the state government had constituted a high-level Ministerial committee to look into the recent hike in court fees.

The committee was headed by Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Modi.

The hike was being opposed by various lawyers' associations.

Making suo-motu statement in the House, Mr Kumar said the committee would look into the objections, raised by different associations of the lawyers on the issue of hike.

After receiving the suggestions of the committee, the state government would take a final decision on the hike in court fees.

Parliamentary Affairs Minister Ramashray Prasad Singh, Road Construction Minister Nand Kishore Yadav, Energy Minister Bijendra Prasad Yadav, Human Resource Development Minister Brishen Patel and Excise Minister Sudha Srivastav would be among other members of the committee, he informed.
